Wilson Day
The Society’s fall banquet named after the former Society and U.S. President, Woodrow Wilson
Wilson Day is the Society’s annual fall banquet to discuss the life and legacy of President Woodrow Wilson, a former member and president of the Society. The event features a formal dinner—traditionally held in the Rotunda—and a guest speaker who discusses Wilson and his legacy.
The Society first began celebrating Wilson Day in 1936.
At this time, the Historical Committee is both pleased and proud to announce that the 88th Annual Wilson Day Banquet will be Saturday, November 16th, 2024 @6-8pm in the Commonwealth Room of Newcomb Hall. The Wilson Day Banquet is a black-tie, formal dinner where the Society celebrates its nearly 200 years of perpetual existence amidst the company of good friends, good food, and good conversation. This year, we will be joined by Professor Mary Kate Cary, distinguished politics faculty at the University, who will be engaging in a moderated conversation focusing on the results of the presidential election, the changing nature of the Presidency and the wider state of American Politics at the national level.
